About Us
15 years in the making. Family owned and operated. A permaculture-based micro farm in the Sonoran Desert.
Our Story
Wild Cactus Farm began with a medical diagnosis — a moment that pulled us toward a more deliberate way of living and a more honest relationship with the food on our table. What started as a personal recalibration became a way of life.
This is the second chapter of that journey. Our first food forest and gardens took root at a previous property, where we learned the slow way: one step forward, ten steps back. We didn't yet have the framework, and we paid for that inexperience in time, money, and lost crops.
The turning point was earning a formal certification in permaculture and committing to design from its principles — observing the land, working with water and slope instead of against them, and stacking functions so every element earns its keep. Wild Cactus Farm is what that knowledge looks like when you finally get to apply it from day one.
Our hope is to inspire pockets of this same model all across the greater Phoenix area. Hard-won experience means we can help others compress the timeline and avoid the expensive mistakes we made. The path still takes faith, mentorship, and grit — but it doesn't have to take fifteen years to find your footing.
